A Qualitative Investigation of Internet-based Technology for the Remote Management of Cardiovascular Disease (QCVD Study)

This is a collaborative research project between the BCATPR and two regional health authorities: the Northern Health Authority (NHA) and the Vancouver Coastal Health Authority (VCHA). The proposed study is designed to gain a firm understanding of the needs and acceptability of an Internet-supported platform and how this platform may be used to support behavioral change and management of CVD in patients and facilitate primary and secondary care providers’ improvement in the co-management of patients with CVD through interviews with physicians, nurses, allied health professionals and patients. This study is funded by the BC Medical Services Foundation and MSFHR.
